Wiersgalla Company was founded by Edward and Stephanie Wiersgalla. Edward Wiergalla began his plumbing career in the United States Army. He later went to become an apprentice at Bartingale Mechanical, where he obtained his Journeyman's credential. He later went on to work for F.E. Grosvold and the Honeywell Corporation. In the late 1960's Edward Wiersgalla wrote his Master Plumber credential. He promptly went into business operating from a rented garage and a spare bedroom in his house. After several years he was able to buy land and build the first company facility located at 1343 Western Avenue, in Eau Claire. The company operated from this facility from the mid 1980's, when Edward Wiersgalla made the decision to restructure and moved part of the operation to Dallas, Texas. Wiersgalla Company continued to function at the time under the name Kjelsted-Wiersgalla Plumbing. In the late 1980's Edward Wiersgalla returned the entire operation to Eau Claire and operated from a facility located at
1720 North Clairemont Avenue until 1997. At this time Edward Wiersgalla purchased land in the Gateway Industrial Park on Truax Boulevard and built the present facility that Wiersgalla Company operates from today.
This major expansion of our family business allowed Wiersgalla Company to expand it's service area and maintain its position as a recognized leader in our industry serving this region of Wisconsin.
